I’m in Love with Cory…

I’m in love with Cory and all the things he does for me. I can’t believe I just wrote that sentence, but it’s true. Cory has been with me for about two months now and he has easily won over my heart.

Honest, I’m not cheating on my husband. Cory is our rolling storage ottoman from La-Z-Boy. He scoots up close to our sofa and holds my feet after a long day. During the day, we spend a lot of time together, because this has become my favorite spot to blog.)

Before I go on gushing about Cory, I should tell you that this is a sponsored post for La-Z-Boy and they let me custom design Cory for my home. But, I never realized how much I would love him until he came into my living room.

When the La-Z-Boy design consultant first recommended an upholstered ottoman, I was hesitant. I worried that we wouldn’t have anywhere to set our drinks. But, she told me that I just needed to give Cory a tray to hold drinks and other necessities.

The tray is a wonderful thing because it keeps our remote controls corralled. Previously, our coffee table used to become a big mess of magazines, mail and several buried remotes.

I also worried that an upholstered ottoman would look like a big elephant in the room.

Far from it. He is the perfect size to provide leg rest for up to three adults. Cory can also be wheeled around and used for extra seating when we have guests.

But, the thing I love most about Cory is this:

He hides an abundance of pillows and blankets. There are plenty of wii remotes and games under that pile of pillows as well.

Although, I discourage the kids from playing inside Cory, I can rest at ease because there are two generous air holes on the bottom and the hinges hold the weight of the lid at any angle.

I hope you understand why I fell so hard for this gorgeous guy. He is beautiful to look at and he never complains when dinner isn’t ready. I think I’m going to enjoy having him around for a while.

Don’t you want your own personal Cory, too?

Be sure to stop by next week. I’ve been giving you some sneak peeks of the living room makeover, but I’m finally going to show you the whole room. You won’t want to miss it.

oh, those are way more affordable than I would have thought. I went to the site, and while they’re not showing the Cory, they had a dozen other styles. That “graffiti” pattern and the ” lipstick” pattern are lovely.

The La-Z-Boy headquarters are in my home town, so it’s a company that’s near and dear to my heart 🙂 I’m partial to the Ikat Fret in Tourmaline.

I would love to have something comfortable to rest my legs on and also hide extra pillows and blankets in. It’s so hard to decide on a fabric choice. I either like a plain, soft warm grey like Acorn Astoria or the Ikat Fret )but in Pewter so it would be different than my sister), the Stencil, Bradstreet, Marabelle, New Damask and Sumatra patterns.

I could really use the extra storage in my small living room as well as someplace to put my feet up! I like the Pebble fabric.

i am not sure on the colors. I’m colorblind so it’s up to my husband to pick. Probably a red (cinnamon?) or grey would be his pick. However I also kind of like the idea of leather.
